3 thousand tons of metal and almost 2 thousand piles: another construction stage completed at Svobodnenskaya TPP-2

Cooling tower foundations are 43% complete

The installation of bored piles has been fully completed at Svobodnenskaya TPP-2 — 1991 reinforced concrete supports will now hold the foundations of the main building, cooling tower, and administrative building. The work was carried out by specialists from Natsproektstroy and its contractor, EnergoSK.

Builders have already assembled 2,965 tons of metal structures for the main building — almost half of the planned volume. The foundations of the cooling tower are 43% complete. In parallel, the open switchgear of the existing station is being expanded: portals and electrical equipment have been installed at the 110 kV switchgear site, and foundations for the first cell have been poured at the 220 kV switchgear site.

Inside the main building, installers are installing formwork, tying reinforcement, and closing the thermal circuit with sandwich panels. Cable ducts have been laid at the foundation slab level in the electrical department. Outdoor lighting masts are already in operation around the perimeter of the site, and supports for floodlights have been installed.

The construction of a new 450 MW power unit is being carried out as part of the program for the development of the energy sector in the Far East. The project was developed by the "Institute Teploelectroproekt", and the customer is "GEH Engineering". All work is monitored taking into account the climatic features of the Amur Region and the requirements for the reliability of the region's energy supply.
