Students from Ivanovo created an electric mini-tractor "Volt-MT" for small farms

The development of the Upper Volga State Agrarian University has already interested regional authorities and may be released in a small series

Students of the Upper Volga State Agrarian University presented a prototype of the electric mini-tractor "Volt-MT". The development was led by Danila Chureev, a student at the Faculty of Engineering and Economics, together with a group of classmates. The machine is positioned as a solution for small farms, greenhouse complexes, gardens and household plots.

The equipment does not produce exhaust gases, operates almost silently and allows you to significantly reduce energy costs compared to diesel counterparts. The carrying capacity of the prototype is 500 kilograms - this is enough for most tasks of small agribusiness.

The project was implemented within the framework of the federal program "Student Startup". Now the author of the development is preparing to participate in grant competitions in order to attract funding for the refinement of the design and preparation for the release of a pilot batch. The first Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Ivanovo region, Denis Cherkesov, noted the practical value of the prototype and confirmed that such equipment is really in demand in the region.

The development features a modular design: if necessary, various attachments can be installed on the chassis. This increases the versatility of the machine and expands its scope. The engineers also provided for the possibility of quick replacement of the battery, which is important for intensive operation during the season.
