Specialists from the agricultural technology holding Bizon carried out a major overhaul of a D-260.4 diesel engine manufactured by the Minsk Motor Plant (MMZ) from a BELARUS tractor line. This was reported by the holding's press service.
The power unit arrived at the enterprise with its service life completely exhausted. The technicians replaced 75 parts in it and restored the cylinder block, crankshaft, fuel equipment, and other assemblies.
After assembly, the D-260.4 underwent a four-hour hot run-in. During bench tests, its basic characteristics were confirmed.
The 500th engine to undergo major overhaul has been delivered to an agricultural enterprise from the Zimovnikovsky District of the Rostov Region.
The unit and assembly repair shop has been operating since 2019. The site's capacity is 8 engines per month. In addition to power units, they also perform major overhauls of gearboxes and balance shredding drums for agricultural machinery here.
