JSC LOMO (part of the Kalashnikov Concern) has delivered 20 MIKMED-6 medical microscopes to the State University of Education in Moscow. The equipment is already being used in classrooms and laboratories to train future teachers.
MIKMED-6 is a development of LOMO engineers for clinical diagnostics and morphological research. The basic configuration works in transmitted light according to the bright field scheme. If necessary, the microscope is equipped with modules for dark field, phase contrast, polarization and fluorescence modes.
Students in biological and medical fields now work with optics that meet modern requirements for accuracy and ergonomics.
LOMO emphasized that cooperation with educational institutions is a priority. The company regularly participates in equipping universities and colleges, adapting serial models to educational programs. At the University of Education, the microscopes underwent pre-sale preparation and inspection before being put into operation.
