The Leningrad Optical Mechanical Association named after V. I. Lenin (LOMO JSC, part of the Kalashnikov concern) will supply a GDB-VO-G-23 biopsy sealed gastroduodenoscope with fiber optics (gastrofiberscope) to one of the medical institutions in the Sakhalin Region. This was reported by the press service of the concern.
The gastrofiberscope is designed for examining the organs of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT). It is used in endosurgical interventions (minimally invasive operations, which are also performed through punctures in the skin). The equipment is also in demand for biopsies and the introduction of medicinal solutions.
