The story of presence is over: Kaiyi and SWM assembled at Avtotor showed a drop in sales of 91-94%

In January-February 2026, 101 SWM cars and 37 Kaiyi cars were sold

In the first two months of 2026, 101 SWM cars and 37 Kaiyi cars were sold in Russia. Both brands were produced at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad. Sales fell by 91.3% for SWM and 94% for Kaiyi (more than tenfold) compared to the same period in 2025. These data were provided by Sergey Tselikov, director of the Avtostat agency. According to his assessment, the story of these brands' presence in the Russian market is practically over. Assembly of Kaiyi models ceased in early 2025, and the last SWM cars were produced in Kaliningrad in September 2025. Last year, dealers were selling off the remaining stock with discounts of up to 30%.

Remaining stock in warehouses and current prices

Judging by the ratio of total production and sales volumes, there are about 300–400 cars of these brands left in stock. So, their current history of presence in the Russian market is practically over

According to dealer advertisements, the following models remain in stock:

  • Kaiyi: X3, X3 Pro, E5, X7 Kunlun. Prices: from 1.7 million rubles (X3) to 2.8 million rubles (X7 Kunlun).
  • SWM: G01, G01°F, G05 Pro. Prices: from 1.9 million rubles (G05 Pro) to 2.7 million rubles (G01°F).

During the entire period of presence in Russia, according to Avtostat, almost 22 thousand Kaiyi cars and 6.3 thousand SWM cars were sold. Assembly of Kaiyi started in early 2023, SWM — in late 2023.

At the same time, Avtotor itself denied reports in November 2025 that it had stopped assembling Kaiyi, stating that the plant was fulfilling all contractual obligations. However, sales statistics and the lack of new deliveries indicate an actual curtailment of production.
