Scammers are sending messages about logging into mos.ru and demanding an urgent call

Users are receiving emails with an IP address and phone number

The Cybercrime Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has recorded a mass mailing of messages on behalf of the mos.ru portal. Users receive notifications about an alleged login to their account "using an unfamiliar device." The message indicates the date, platform (e.g., iPhone 11, Chrome), and IP address, and also suggests urgently calling the specified phone number. The cyber police warned that the call is answered not by technical support staff, but by scammers.

What "notifications" from scammers look like

Attackers copy the style of official mos.ru portal notifications to convince the victim of the urgency.

When calling the specified number, scammers, posing as technical support staff, try to extract personal data, passwords, or confirmation codes.

What to do when receiving an email from scammers

The Ministry of Internal Affairs strongly recommends:

  • do not call the numbers from such messages;
  • check information only through official websites and applications of state structures (for example, through the application
  • "My Moscow" or the mos.ru portal, entering the address manually);
  • if you suspect a hack, change your password through the official channel and contact support at the number listed on the official website.

The mos.ru portal provides access to urban public services, medical data, digital documents, and payment instruments. Timely information about a specific scheme helps prevent data leaks and possible financial losses.
