The construction of the universal crab vessel of modular concept "Itelmen" (project 03141) continues at the "Vostochnaya Verf". Its hull was rolled out of the slipway, the press service of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping reported.
The vessel is designed for crab fishing and will be equipped with modern equipment for storing and transporting the catch alive in chilled sea water.
"Itelmen" can operate as a crab processor (fish processing on board), a longliner (fishing with longlines) or a shrimp trawler (shrimp fishing with bottom trawls). The fishing trawler has an unlimited navigation area and is capable of overcoming broken ice. It will be equipped with RSW tanks with chilled sea water.
