"Admiralty Shipyards" launched the trawler "Captain Yunak" for sea trials

Experts are checking the maneuverability, speed and systems of the ST-192 project vessel before handing it over to the customer

The "Admiralty Shipyards" enterprise has started sea trials of the large freezer fishing trawler (BMRT) "Captain Yunak". The vessel was built as part of a series of six units commissioned by the Russian Fishery Company and will be the fifth for it.

Before going to sea, the shipyard team, together with representatives of подрядных организаций, completed a full cycle of mooring tests. All works were executed in accordance with the requirements of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, which confirmed the vessel's readiness for safe operation at sea.

As part of the sea trials program, the delivery team will conduct a comprehensive check of the trawler's design technical characteristics. The test program includes testing the main ship systems - power, navigation, location and communication, as well as checking maneuverability and speed modes.

After completing sea trials, the "Captain Yunak" will return to the shipyard for final finishing and preparation for official handover to the customer.

At the same time, the company is actively carrying out outfitting work on the sixth trawler in the series - "Mechanic Shcherbakov". It is already undergoing mooring tests afloat, and sea trials are scheduled for the end of December 2025.

«Капитан Юнак» is a large freezer fishing trawler (BMRT) of the ST-192 project. The vessel is designed for fishing in the Far East.

Technical characteristics of BMRT «Капитан Юнак»:

  • cargo hold capacity — 5500 cubic meters;
  • length — 108 m;
  • width — 21 m;
  • autonomy — 45 days;
  • crew — 139 people, including fish processing complex personnel;
  • speed — 15 knots.
