Drone Shield: UAV Countermeasures for the Northern Sea Route Tested by Siber Holding

Radars were tested in difficult weather conditions, developments confirmed the stated characteristics

Siber Holding (part of Rostec) together with the Scientific and Production Center "Wings of Sakhalin" conducted tests of equipment for detecting and suppressing drones.

Specialists tested radar stations designed to protect objects in the far and near contours, including coastal zones, and also assessed the possibility of their joint use. Following the results of the tests, recommendations were prepared for finalizing the equipment and a roadmap was agreed for integrating the radar into a unified complex for detecting and suppressing drones.

The drones themselves were also tested at the training ground of the SPC "Wings of Sakhalin" in difficult weather conditions. The developments confirmed the stated characteristics.

As part of the working group on ensuring the comprehensive security of the Great Northern Sea Route, promising models of unmanned aerial vehicle detection and counteraction equipment are being selected. The positive experience of testing in the Sakhalin Region suggests that solutions for the Northern Sea Route can be successfully tested here with the participation of our partners - the SPC "Wings of Sakhalin".
