The "Island of Freedom" will receive several sets of the Aurora-2 monopulse secondary radar. The first deliveries will take place as early as 2026.

In the future, radars will be installed in various parts of Cuba to fully cover the country's airspace.

In addition to its obligations to manufacture equipment, the Obukhov Plant will provide training for customer specialists and warranty service for the stations.

The Obukhov Plant is part of the Almaz-Antey Aerospace Defence Concern. Aurora-2 is a completely domestic development capable of detecting and tracking civilian vessels at a distance of up to 400 km.

The system transmits not only coordinates, but also flight altitude, tail number, and fuel reserve, which is critical for flight safety in the busy Caribbean region.
