The Russian military will test the latest Svarog-5 reconnaissance drone in May - a complete domestic analogue of the DJI Mavic 3T. This was reported by the Svarog Research and Production Center.
The company said that the request to create a drone for reconnaissance came from the soldiers themselves. The new product has already been put to the test. At the same time, the engineers solved the problem with the lack of compact cameras for reconnaissance drones on the market in Russia.
Together with one of the domestic factories, we solved this problem, which allows us to put good optics on fairly compact drones.
The company explained that the use of Mavic devices is becoming dangerous due to vulnerabilities in the firmware. It was found to have a function that allows you to see the operator's location on the map after hacking.
