Construction of the "Favor" tugboat completed at the Oka Shipyard

The NE025 project vessel will join the fleet of the Marine Rescue Service

The "Favor" tugboat, the fifth in a series of Arctic rescue vessels of the NE025 project, was built at the Oka Shipyard. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.

The set of classification documents of the register was issued to the responsible deliveryman (a specialist who monitors the quality of ships) — the senior builder of the Oka Shipyard, Ivan Bandin.

By the time the register documents were issued, the new tugboat had passed all the necessary tests and confirmed its technical readiness to perform the tasks assigned.

"Favor" is designed for towing non-self-propelled floating facilities (barges, floating cranes, docks, drilling rigs). The vessel can install coastal navigation signs, transport cargo, provide hydraulic engineering works, and deploy facilities for oil spill response (OSR).

The vessels "Timan", "Tepsey", "Pechak", "Uzon" and "Favor" were built in the city of Navashino by order of the Marine Rescue Service. The tugs will be used on the Northern Sea Route.
