Twice as Smart: "Svod" Drones Equipped with Machine Vision and Artificial Intelligence

Drones capture targets at a distance of up to 2 kilometers

Russian military personnel are testing "Svod" unmanned aerial vehicles in combat. The drones combine machine vision and artificial intelligence technologies. This was reported by the "People's Front."

"Svod" is a separate line of devices with an improved intelligent guidance, tracking, and autonomous target engagement system.

The new drone is part of the "Ovod" drone family. According to Ivanov, its main tasks are to see, capture a target, and destroy it after confirmation from the operator.

In clear weather, "Svod" captures a target at a distance of up to 2 km. Currently, these UAVs are being tested in advanced units of the Russian Armed Forces.
