Inventors in Kazan have developed a new interceptor drone capable of hunting other drones. This was reported by the Telegram channel of the Vesti TV channel.
Journalists called the quadcopter "fast, agile and nimble." The drone can track objects and, if necessary, attack them. The interceptor drone works on the basis of AI technologies.
The maximum payload of the interceptor was not named for some reason. Apparently, this is not so important - it works on the principle of kinetic destruction of the target, that is, it takes "birds" on the ram.
The program for the drone was written in six months by local young scientists. The copter works with the help of a domestic application and has a simple design - it can be quickly assembled and disassembled in the field.
The interceptor can reach speeds of up to 300 km/h at an altitude of up to three kilometers. The novelty has already successfully passed dozens of tests, and large concerns are interested in the development. Now engineers are preparing documents for obtaining a patent for the development.
