An employee of the "ODK-Perm Motors" plant made a rationalization proposal to optimize the production of the combustion chamber of an aircraft engine. His idea helped the company save more than 20 million rubles since its implementation in 2025.
Specialists from "ODK-Aviadvigatel" checked the engineer's calculations and approved them in the design documentation.
Andrey Ushakov, Director for the Development of the Production System at "ODK-Perm Motors," noted that the development will be used in the production of combustion chambers for serial engines.
The continuous improvement of technological processes and engine designs is a natural process in the industry. This allows us to ensure the reliability of products and their compliance with high requirements.
Currently, a group of engineers under the guidance of a specialist is working on the introduction of low-emission combustion chambers and ignition systems into serial production, increasing their service life, and improving the repair technologies for aviation and industrial engines.
ODK did not specify whether the proactive employee received any reward for the idea.
