Airbus and Boeing are not needed: 50% of aircraft will be Russian by 2030

The Ministry of Transport is committed to the course of import substitution of the aircraft fleet

The Ministry of Transport of Russia stated that by 2030 they intend to increase the share of domestic aircraft in the fleet of carriers to 50%. The statement was made by Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev.

According to him, to achieve the goal, it is necessary to modernize 75 airfields.

Fleet renewal is a driver for increasing the air mobility of the population. In December 2025, the Tu-214 was certified, the Il-114 is in the final stage; Aeroflot plans to purchase 200 MC-21s by 2033, a memorandum was signed for the supply of 100 Tu-214s for S7; work continues on the certification of SSJ and MC-21 with domestic PD-8 and PD-14 engines.
