The number of satellites that AFK "Sistema" Corporation is creating through its subsidiary "Sputnix" has reached 116 orbital objects. This was announced by the corporation's founder Vladimir Yevtushenkov at a meeting with young scientists.
Yevtushenkov also recalled that the corporation is implementing a large-scale project to create and launch an orbital constellation of 157 small satellites.
Sputnix spacecraft are intended for fire monitoring, ship navigation, and remote sensing of the Earth. The project is being carried out in cooperation with Roscosmos and is aimed at developing private space exploration.
