The Russian group of companies "Sputnix" (part of AFK Sistema) has successfully implemented import substitution of the domestic transport monitoring system. This was announced by Anatoly Kopik, Commercial Director of the company.
We have our own system for monitoring domestic transport. We now have the ability to shoot from satellites in greater numbers and at a lower cost.
The head of the development company demonstrated a sample of the satellite used for monitoring and shared its technical characteristics. The satellite moves at a speed of 8 km/s and requires ultra-precise targeting of objects from such a distance.
It is ultra-modern, weighs only 17 kg, but at the same time shoots in very high resolution - 2.5 m per pixel. Moreover, it shoots immediately in four spectral ranges and transmits at a speed of a whole gigabit per second from a height of 500-600 km.
Sputnix is a Russian private manufacturer specializing in the creation of high-tech satellite components and platforms for spacecraft. It also develops ground equipment for testing and testing small spacecraft, ground satellite stations and equipment for aerospace education.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Bion-M No. 2 biosatellite will launch from Baikonur on August 20.
