The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB thwarted the smuggling of ammunition worth 1 billion rubles

The criminals posed as employees of a commercial company

Through the joint efforts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Security Service of Russia, an attempt to illegally export a large batch of ammunition was neutralized. This was stated by Russian Minister of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the value of the seized products exceeded one billion rubles.

They are not afraid of anything.

Operational information indicates that the illegal activity was stopped back in June of last year. The criminals, posing as employees of a commercial company, intended to take military property abroad. Law enforcement personnel disrupted the logistics channel before the actual crossing of the border.

The attempt to export such a significant volume of weapons indicates the existence of well-established schemes for evading customs supervision. Such actions not only violate export control legislation, but also create risks of the equipment ending up on the black market.
