Forensic experts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia can identify the identities of participants in a crime and determine their roles based on the texts of correspondence in messengers. This was told to TASS by the head of the Expert-Criminalistic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Police Lieutenant General Vadim Kazmin.
According to him, authorship expertise allows identifying specific people based on text analysis, and linguistic expertise allows determining the roles and functions of each participant. Information significant for the investigation is extracted from the mobile devices of suspects, which sets the further vector of investigative actions.
Separately, Kazmin focused on the topic of droppers - people who, for a small reward, transfer verified accounts, passport data, SIM cards and bank cards to criminals. According to him, many do not realize the consequences: "They are accomplices in illegal actions, they are ruining their fate and the fate of their loved ones." Attackers use droppers to mask traces and hide the organizers of the schemes - it is here, according to Kazmin, that the expert-criminalistic service connects.
