Yandex has registered a new trademark for its self-driving trucks - Robotruck. The corresponding application was submitted to Rospatent, Forbes reports.
The new brand covers not only the autonomous trucks themselves, but also software, digital platforms, automatic control systems, as well as freight and logistics services. In addition, Robotruck will be used in the fields of artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, telecommunications and transport maintenance.
Among the partners that already use Yandex's self-driving trucks on the roads, the company names Market and Magnit. This is not the company's first step in the development of autonomous services - Yandex has already filed applications for robotaxi brands.
In 2026, the company plans to put 70 self-driving trucks on the roads, as well as 5,000 delivery robots, 100 robotaxis and the same number of self-driving cars for testing.
