The Oryol depot of the company STM-Service has mastered the repair of TEM14 diesel locomotives

Comprehensive training made it possible to introduce complex full-cycle servicing of eight-axle shunting locomotives

The Oryol service locomotive depot, owned by the company STM-Service, has successfully completed TR-2 scheduled repair work for TEM14 series shunting diesel locomotives. It includes disassembly and restoration of the main line equipment, which implies the presence of highly qualified specialists and a serious technical base.

The depot's specialists are now capable of performing the full range of TEM14 maintenance work — from TO-2 technical servicing to the most labor-intensive TR-2 scheduled repair. Previously, such work was carried out at a limited number of sites, and the expansion of competencies at the Oryol depot significantly increases the availability of high-quality service for the operators of these machines.

The success was the result of purposeful and comprehensive team preparation:

  • a special personnel training program was developed and implemented, with mandatory final certification and the issuance of certificates;
  • a "road map" was drawn up and fully implemented, covering the modernization of production infrastructure, the creation of the necessary process documentation, and the refinement of all technological processes;
  • all required authorization documents for the right to carry out repairs of TEM14 diesel locomotives were obtained.
