Putin: The development of the nuclear triad remains an unconditional priority

The president stated that the pace of development of advanced weapons will increase

Vladimir Putin delivered a congratulatory address on the occasion of Defender of the Fatherland Day. He stated that Russia will continue large-scale work to strengthen the army and navy, taking into account the international situation and combat experience gained during military operations.

According to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the development of the nuclear triad remains an unconditional priority for the authorities — it serves as a guarantee of the country's security and ensures the balance of power in the world.

Putin added that the country will continue to build up the capabilities of all branches and services of the Armed Forces, improve their combat readiness, mobility, and ability to operate in difficult conditions.

And of course, we will increase the pace of development of advanced systems for the Armed Forces. I am confident of the main thing: this equipment will always be in reliable hands. Our soldiers and officers are true patriots, people of special resilience and unbending will, the support of the state and society.
Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation
