Attackers have come up with a new multi-stage fraud scheme targeting men. The victim receives a call from the military registration and enlistment office and is required to update their military registration data. To enter the building, they are asked to scan a QR code in their personal account on "Gosuslugi."
After the man follows the instructions, the conversation ends. Then, a fake employee of Roskomnadzor contacts him, reports suspicious activity in the account, and switches him to "technical support." There, the victim is intimidated by the fact that scammers allegedly issued a power of attorney to a citizen of Ukraine to dispose of the money, but immediately "reassure" him that the transfer was blocked.
The scheme is completed by a pseudo-employee of the FSB, who conducts a "video search." During it, they assess jewelry and cash, and then ask to transfer them to the courier. This is how money is stolen.
