The Kaliningrad Amber Combine (part of Rostec) has set a record for amber extraction. From March 1 to October 8, employees of the enterprise extracted 600 tons of solar stone in the Primorsky quarry. This was reported by the state corporation's press service.
The Rostec press service explained that the last 50 tons of amber were extracted in difficult geological conditions, as work was carried out in the glacial erosion zone in September.
For development, it was necessary to additionally drill rocks. However, thanks to the optimization of production processes, the employees of the combine maintained a high rate of amber extraction.
It is worth recalling that since 2015, Rostec has invested about 2.5 billion rubles in the modernization of the Kaliningrad Amber Combine. This allowed to update mining equipment, purchase new special equipment and create jewelry production.
