PJSC "KamAZ", together with the TK LIFT special equipment plant, presented a new mining dump truck based on the KamAZ-65951 "SKALA" chassis. This was reported by the press service of the enterprise.
The new dump truck (8x4) is designed for transporting rock, overburden and other materials with a density of up to 1400 kg/m³.
The model received a 25 m³ body made of HB 450 wear-resistant steel. Its 15 mm thick bottom provides protection against damage, even when working with abrasive and heavy materials. The side and front walls are made of high-strength S700 steel with a thickness of 8 mm, which guarantees resistance to impacts and deformations.
The reinforced upper visor of the body, which completely covers the cab, is a FOPS standard protection – Falling-object Protective Structure, which protects the operator from falling cargo and any objects from above onto the cab during operation.
Among the additional protective functions are stone ejectors that protect the wheels and suspension from damage.
The dump truck's hydraulic system is based on a high-pressure telescopic cylinder, which provides a quick lifting of the platform at an angle of up to 52° for efficient unloading, even in conditions of material sticking. An interactive SMART system is provided for controlling the weight of the cargo and protecting against overturning.
Additional functions include a body heating system to prevent cargo from freezing, an emergency pump for manual body lifting, and synchronous rear door rods to prevent impacts against the body during unloading.
The weight of the KamAZ-65951 chassis is 50 tons, and the power of the KamAZZ R6 diesel engine is 482 hp. The gearbox is 16-speed.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the new Tonar-7504 mining dump truck began testing.
