The new regional short-haul Il-114-300 is already influencing the development of the transport network in Russia even before certification is completed. For example, in Krasnoyarsk Krai they are considering creating a base for servicing aircraft and training crews, regional head Mikhail Kotyukov said.
According to him, for the region the development of local aviation is a strategic task. In many localities, the aircraft remains the only link with the "mainland".
I instructed the Minister of Transport and "KrasAvia" to continue working with the United Aircraft Corporation and the S. V. Ilyushin Aviation Complex on the issues of equipment deliveries, as well as the creation of a base for crew training and aircraft maintenance.
The aircraft arrived in Krasnoyarsk on a special flight from Yakutsk after certification tests had been conducted to check the operability of systems under extremely low temperature conditions.
In March 2026, AO "Il" expects to complete certification and begin delivering aircraft to operators' fleets.
