Izhevsk arms enterprises, which are part of the Kalashnikov concern, presented samples of their products at the Week of Russian Science. The event takes place at the Izhevsk State Technical University (IzSTU).
Civilian UAS
The Scientific and Production Association "Izhevsk Unmanned Systems" showed the Granat-4 and Tachyon drones to guests at the exhibition. Both UAVs are designed for use in civilian purposes.
«Granat-4» carries out remote monitoring using photo, video and thermal imaging equipment. «Tachyon» is used to inspect facilities of the fuel and energy complex (FEC), power lines (TL) and signal retransmission.
Weapon mock-ups
The Kalashnikov concern organized a stand with mass-size mock-ups (MMG) of combat small arms.
The exposition included:
- AK-12 model of 2023, caliber 5.45 mm
- Kalashnikov PPK-29 submachine gun, caliber 9 mm
- AK-74M, caliber 5.45 mm
- «Tigr», «Rekord» and MR1 hunting carbines
The participants of the event also inspected the products of the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant (IMZ) — the MR-155 self-loading rifle, the MR-512S pneumatic rifle, the MR-53M pneumatic pistol, the MR-135 hunting rifle and the «Baikal 145 Los» carbine. The Lebedev compact pistol (PLC) and MR-446 «Viking» attracted special attention of visitors.
