The Kalashnikov Concern has started mass production of the modernized Goliath 2.0 and Karakurt 2.0 reconnaissance drones. This was announced to TASS by a representative of the concern at the World Defense Show-2026 in Riyadh.
We are constantly improving products that are used on the line of combat contact, this process is continuous, there is constant improvement. In particular, at the recent UMEX 2026 exhibition in Abu Dhabi, Kalashnikov presented modernized versions of the Karakurt 2.0 and Goliath 2.0 UAVs, which were improved based on suggestions received following combat operations. Both products have already been launched into mass production.
The experience of practical application of technology is a key competitive advantage, the representative of the concern emphasized. Armaments are constantly being refined taking into account the feedback from military personnel.
«Goliath 2.0» is a large reconnaissance drone with a powerful HD camera, thermal imager and image stabilization system. It can fly around obstacles on its own and warns if other UAVs appear nearby.
«Karakurt 2.0» is a small and portable drone that can fit in a backpack. It is equipped with a day camera and a thermal imager. A special feature of the model is that the battery can be quickly replaced in the field so that reconnaissance can continue without stopping. The drone is launched by the operator in a few seconds — even on the move or from a car.
Earlier it was reported that foreign customers were interested in the Goliath 2.0 and Karakurt 2.0 UAVs. The General Director of the Kalashnikov concern emphasized that these models will be offered to potential buyers on «quite interesting terms».
