Geran kamikaze drones have received an internal combustion engine of completely domestic production. Power units are assembled at one of the enterprises in Siberia.
Thus, the localization of "Geraniums" has approached almost one hundred percent.
The current production volume is estimated at a thousand internal combustion engines per month, but a significant increase in production is planned in the first quarter of 2026.
Due to original solutions, the designers have achieved higher rates of fuel efficiency of the internal combustion engine, which made it possible to increase the range and altitude of the Geraniums in comparison with foreign analogues.
Prior to that, the Geran-2 kamikaze drones were again improved for more effective combat missions. A photograph of a drone with an infrared spotlight appeared on the Web to blind the sensors of anti-aircraft FPV interceptor drones.
