According to the results of the month, 80.6 thousand new passenger cars were registered, of which 47.5 thousand cars were produced in the Russian Federation.

Before 2022, the share of Russian assembly consistently exceeded 80%, but after the departure of global brands from the market, the indicator began to decline, Tselikov said. The minimum value was recorded in September 2024 — 37.7%. Since the end of 2024, there has been a steady increase in the share of domestic production.

The sales leader among Russian-made cars in January was LADA with a share of 41.3%. Next come Haval (20.7%), Tenet (18.8%), Solaris (3.2%), Moskvich (2.1%), as well as Chinese brands Jaecoo, Exeed, Voyah, Jetour and Chery. The total share of other brands, including UAZ and Evolute, amounted to 5.7%.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, more than 20 brands of cars are currently produced in Russia at 45 plants.
