AvtoVAZ announced the start of sales of the updated version of the Lada Vesta CNG sedan, capable of running on both gasoline and compressed methane. The car received fourth-generation gas-cylinder equipment with a 90-liter tank.
The engineers placed the gas cylinder in the luggage compartment, which made it possible to keep the standard gasoline tank volume unchanged at 55 liters. As a result, the usable trunk space decreased to 250 liters.
The vehicle's range when running exclusively on methane exceeds 320 kilometers. With combined use of the two fuel types, the total range exceeds 1,000 kilometers. According to the manufacturer, using gas reduces fuel costs by two to three times, as well as cutting the transport tax in half.
The price of the new model starts at 1,515,000 rubles. The stated price already includes the state subsidy program for the purchase of gas-powered vehicles.
