The new 30 km-range fiber-optic kamikaze drone "Provod" has entered serial production

The unmanned aircraft is capable of carrying up to 4.5 kg of payload

Russian military personnel have begun receiving in series the new heavy strike drone "Provod" with fiber-optic control. This was reported by designer Andrei Ivanov.

According to him, in the "Provod," engineers used their own software solutions that make it possible to transmit a signal via fiber optics over a long distance.

This is not a small 10-inch drone that would carry 1.5 kg over the same distance. This is a large strike drone that delivers two to two and a half times more.

The "Provod" flies at a distance of 25–30 km while carrying a payload of up to 4.5 kg. Positive feedback and numerous videos of the new device in use are already coming in from unmanned systems units in the troops, Ivanov concluded.
