A Rosatom structure went to court against the manufacturer of PD-14 engines

Solikamsk Magnesium Plant filed a lawsuit against "ODK-UMPO" for 21.9 million rubles

Solikamsk Magnesium Plant (SMZ, part of Rosatom) filed a claim seeking recovery of 21.9 million rubles, as well as a penalty in the amount of 943.2 thousand rubles from the "ODK-UMPO" plant. The case was registered in the Arbitration Court of Bashkortostan.

The ruling states that the defendant submitted a motion to postpone the court hearing in order to settle the dispute amicably. The next hearing will take place on March 5, 2026.

OJSC "SMZ" is the oldest of the currently operating magnesium plants in the world. SMZ accounts for the production of 100% of rare-earth element, niobium and tantalum compounds, 60% of commercial magnesium, and 4–5% of sponge titanium in the country.

"ODK-UMPO" is part of Rostec's United Engine Corporation and manufactures PD-14 engines for the MS-21-310 airliner.
