At the production site of the G. M. Beriev Taganrog Aviation Scientific-Technical Complex, a supply of substandard materials by contractors was uncovered. The Taganrog City Court sentenced those responsible to prison terms ranging from 2.5 to 4 years, the FSB directorate for the Rostov Region reported.
The investigation established that the aircraft plant signed a contract with the company "MAKSPRO" for the supply of lumber with a total value of more than 14 million rubles. The organization’s director, Aleksandra Bagurova, arranged the supply of materials through entrepreneur Evgeny Kogut.
An expert examination established that the supplied lumber did not comply with the requirements of regulatory legal acts, including GOST. The court ruled that the materials could not be used for aircraft parts, which could have led to disruption of the state defense order deadlines.
Bagurova was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison, while Kogut received 4 years in prison. By court decision, both businesspeople were also banned from engaging in activities in the field of state and municipal contracts for three years.
It should be recalled that Beriev TANTK is part of the United Aircraft Corporation, and the enterprise produces Be-200 amphibious aircraft, which will receive PD-8 engines in the future.
In the first six months of 2025, the enterprise recorded a net loss of 1.778 billion rubles compared with a profit of 166 million rubles in the first half of 2024.
