The commissioning of the power unit at the Svobodnenskaya TPP-2 (Svobodny city, Amur region) with a capacity of 450 MW is scheduled for January 1, 2029. This is stated in the order of the Russian government.
Svobodnenskaya TPP-2 will operate on gas and provide electricity to the region's gas chemical cluster. Investments in the amount of 130 billion rubles are provided for its construction.
The first stage of the station was built by Gazprom Energoholding (a subsidiary of Gazprom). The energy facility started operating in the spring of 2021 as part of the Power of Siberia main pipeline project (from Yakutia to Primorye and the Asia-Pacific countries).
The installed capacity of the Svobodnenskaya TPP is 160 MW of electrical and 434 Gcal-h of thermal energy.
