The keel-laying ceremony for a serial passenger vessel of Project F2 took place in St. Petersburg. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
The project is being implemented at the site of the "Rechnoy" shipyard. The company specializes in the design and assembly of small passenger vessels, pontoon piers, and servicing of hydrofoil vessels.
The new vessel will join the excursion fleet of "Vodokhod Passenger Port". Currently, it manages more than 50 units of high-speed and excursion vessels, including those with electric engines.
Project F2 is focused on commercial operation: passenger transportation, excursions on inland waterways. The vessel laid down in St. Petersburg is already the second in the series.
It has a limited vertical clearance, which will ensure safe operation in the waters of the city's rivers and canals, taking into account low bridges.
