Schoolchildren in Russia will be taught how to assemble drones of various types, as well as how to handle weapons in lessons on the basics of security and homeland defense (BSHD). This is confirmed by documents from the Russian government.
The Cabinet has approved a list of teaching aids for BSHD classrooms consisting of 90 items. This includes:
- AK-74 model
- Makarov pistol model
- Mock-up of RGD, F-1, RGN, RGO hand grenades
- First aid equipment
- Resuscitation trainer
- Dosimeter-radiometer
- Combined arms protective kit
- Sanitary stretchers
An additional list of teaching aids contains 50 more items. This refers to educational materials on drones, drone development kits, and software for air racing.
BSHD replaced the Fundamentals of Life Safety (FLS) in schools. The subject includes patriotic education, civil defense, as well as the basics of first aid and initial military training. It is believed that BSHD prepares students for military service.
