New Geography Textbooks to Include Interactive Maps and AI-Powered Tasks

Schoolchildren will be able to study Russia with the help of оживающие images

The new unified geography textbook for grades 5-11, being developed by the Russian Geographical Society (RGS), will include tasks using artificial intelligence and digital maps, TASS was told by Ilya Gurov, First Deputy Executive Director of the RGS.

According to him, schoolchildren will be able to work with оживающие images and interactive maps, which will allow them to visually study geographical objects and processes. New technologies will help adapt the textbook to modern realities, as children actively use AI and digital services in their daily lives.

The textbooks will be accompanied by methodological materials for teachers, atlases and outline maps, developed taking into account the possibilities of digital technologies.

Gurov emphasized that the use of AI and interactive visualizations makes learning more engaging and visual, allowing schoolchildren to better understand the geography of their own country.
