Boeing 737 of Yakutia Airlines Makes Emergency Landing in Krasnoyarsk

The cause was an iced-up valve in the pressurization system

On the night of January 23, a Boeing 737-800 of Yakutia Airlines, flying from Novosibirsk to Yakutsk, made an unscheduled landing in Krasnoyarsk due to a technical reason. There were 158 passengers on board, and no one was injured.

According to preliminary data, the cause of the landing was icing of the aircraft's pressurization system valve due to low temperatures. The landing was normal, and passengers were provided with hot meals and water in the airport building.

A reserve aircraft from Moscow was sent to continue the flight to Yakutsk. Its departure from Krasnoyarsk is scheduled for 13:40 local time.

The West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office and the MTU Rosaviation commission are monitoring the investigation of the incident and the observance of passenger rights. The airline is working with the airport to minimize inconvenience to passengers.
