The powerful BELARUS 5425 tractor will be sent for bench tests at the end of January. This was reported by Aleksey Kalechits, head of Workshop of Experimental Production No. 1 of the Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ).
Work is currently underway to fine-tune the tractor's electronic control systems, after which the hood and cab interior parts will be installed on the machine. Next, the new BELARUS will be sent for testing to verify the reliability of the operation of components and systems, as well as to identify areas for possible improvement of this model.
The new model can operate for more than 10 hours without refueling. The tractor has no equivalents anywhere in the world and is considered the most powerful agricultural machine among models of the classic layout. It features a monolithic design and a strong frame.
The machine weighs about 19 tonnes. Such dimensions are needed so that the equipment can work with powerful agricultural implements.
An operator can control the tractor with one hand, without strain. The model's hydraulic system, with a capacity of 350 liters per minute, allows large volumes of land to be processed quickly and increases the overall efficiency coefficient. BELARUS 5425 is equipped with a 542-hp Weichai WP14T engine.
The tractor has also received a precision farming system. It is useful where fields have been digitized. This eliminates overseeding and grain overlap, allowing savings in raw materials and fuel. The tractor can be used on any soils, including heavy ones (overly wet or dry lands).
Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin ordered that BELARUS 5425 agricultural machines undergo pilot operation in the country's strong-performing farms. This will make it possible to take all comments into account and move to serial production in 2027.
