The new import-substituted regional aircraft Il-114-300 has attracted interest in India. This was announced by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Gennady Abramenkov.
He confirmed that preliminary negotiations are underway between the parties on the purchase of these models and on the localization of SJ-100 production in India.
We see great interest in our machines from India, not only in the Superjet, but also in the Il-114. It will also participate in the static display at the upcoming exhibition.
Il-114-300 is a modernized version of the Il-114 turboprop aircraft. It should replace the outdated An-24 on domestic airlines, as well as foreign-made aircraft of a similar class: Bombardier Dash 8 (Canada) and ATR 72 (France).
Superjet 100 is a short-haul narrow-body aircraft that is being created under a program of import substitution of systems and components. The airliner will become another model in the family of Superjet aircraft currently in operation.
Il-114-300 and SJ-100 have not yet received a type certificate in Russia, but this does not prevent them from participating in international exhibitions. In the first case, the aircraft has already completed the basic certification program, and the readiness of the Superjet was estimated at 92%.
