Russia plans to use artificial intelligence to manage risks in the field of migration. The corresponding order of the government of the Russian Federation, which TASS has reviewed, provides for the creation of a special information system.
The development and implementation of the system has been entrusted to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The work is scheduled to be completed by December 10, 2026. Following the results of the work, the department should prepare a report for the Cabinet of Ministers with an analysis of the effectiveness and recommendations for the use of technologies.
The use of AI can allow predicting migration flows, identifying potential risks and increasing the efficiency of work with migrants, while reducing the burden on officials and increasing security.
Thus, Russia is taking a step towards the digitalization of migration management, introducing modern technologies for more accurate data analysis and rapid response to possible problems in this area.
