AvtoVAZ will present the modernized LADA Vesta Sport at the юбилейной 28th Race of Champions, which will take place on January 24, 2026, at the training ground in the village of Sosnovka (Samara Region). According to the organizers of the event, the sports version of the sedan has received a significant technical update — under the hood is now installed a 1.8-liter naturally aspirated engine, previously used in the racing LADA Iskra.
The power unit works in tandem with a sequential 5-speed gearbox, which provides the car with increased dynamics and handling on slippery surfaces. The combination has already proven its effectiveness in Russian motorsport competitions.
For the first time in recent years, Vesta Sport will compete not only with other participants, but also with its own "younger sister" — the sports version of LADA Iskra, which will also take part in the races. Both models will become the main cars for leading Russian drivers fighting for the title of champion on the ice track.
