Moscow Railway transported 70 thousand cubic meters of snow - enough for a 52-meter-high snowman

104 special vehicles and more than 5,000 employees are working on the line

Over the past day, the Moscow Railway (MZD) cleared 70 thousand cubic meters of snow, the MZD reported in its Telegram channel. For comparison, this volume would be enough to make a snowman 52 meters high, about a tenth of the Ostankino TV tower.

Cleaning of railway infrastructure continues: 104 special vehicles and almost 5.3 thousand people are working on the line.

Moscow city services are also working around the clock to eliminate the consequences of the snowfall, organizing the removal of snowdrifts from the streets and cleaning pitched roofs, facades, gutters and funnels of apartment buildings.

The capital's snow melting stations are operating at maximum capacity, and temporary storage sites have been organized for the prompt removal of snow.

The Moscow Prosecutor's Office has taken control of the timely cleaning of the city after the snowfall from January 8 to 10.
