The Ministry of Transport spoke about the operation of airports in the Moscow region after snowfalls

More than 78 flights delayed, 35 canceled

All airports in the Moscow region - Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo and Zhukovsky - are accepting and sending flights, the Russian Ministry of Transport reported on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

As of 12:00 Moscow time, air harbors have served 603 flights since the beginning of the day, including 214 flights in Sheremetyevo. In the last two hours, another 143 arrivals and 52 departures have been processed.

The largest airport practically did not receive flights from 04:10 to 11:00 Moscow time, while departures were carried out, baggage was fully issued, and there were no crowds of passengers in the baggage claim area.

Passengers were provided with more than 25 thousand bottles of water, 8 thousand sandwiches and sandwiches, as well as tourist mats and inflatable mattresses.

The airport's operation was adjusted at the initiative of the Ministry of Transport and Rosaviatsia to remove snow and resolve the situation with baggage handling. Over the past day, more than 1 million cubic meters of snow have been removed from the airfield - approximately 100 thousand KamAZ dump trucks.

Due to the consequences of heavy snowfall, 35 flights were canceled at airports in the Moscow region, and 78 flights were delayed by more than two hours.
