The Project 20380 ship will take part in trilateral exercises

The Russian Project 20380 ships "Stoiky" and "Yelnya" of the Baltic Fleet have arrived in South Africa. They will take part in the trilateral exercises "Exercise Mosi 2026," the press service of the Baltic Fleet reported.

"Stoiky" and the Baltic Fleet's medium tanker "Yelnya" made a scheduled port call at Simon's Town.

The crews of the ship and the support vessel will have an opportunity for a short rest and to see the republic's sights.

At the end of their stay in South Africa, the Baltic sailors will take part in a joint multinational naval exercise of the Russian Navy, the PLA Navy of China, and South Africa in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

The armament of Project 20380 ships includes launchers for "Uran" or "Kalibr-NK" anti-ship missiles, an anti-aircraft missile system, artillery mounts, machine-gun mounts, and grenade launchers. The ships have anti-torpedo and anti-submarine defenses.
