Russia's first domestically produced passenger boarding bridge from Rostec is preparing for airport trials

The device will be adapted for all types of aircraft

Aleksandr Dernovoy, Deputy General Director of the High-Precision Systems Holding (part of the Rostec State Corporation), inspected the progress of the final work on the first domestically produced passenger boarding bridge — the so-called \"sleeve\" for airport terminals. According to him, the device has already passed preliminary tests and is currently being refined based on feedback from representatives of Russian airports who reviewed the prototype.

As Dernovoy reported, minor adjustments are being made to the boarding bridge's exterior appearance and interior design, after which the product will be sent for pilot operation at one of Russia's airports. All stages of the project's implementation, he stated, are being carried out within the established deadlines.

The development was carried out by JSC Central Research Institute of Automation and Hydraulics (TsNIIAG) with the participation of JSC NPP Proekt-tekhnika under a subsidy from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation for research and development work (R&D).

The passenger boarding bridge is equipped with a combined drive system — electrohydraulic and electromechanical — as well as a modern control and safety system package. Thanks to this, the equipment can flexibly adapt to various types of aircraft: from regional planes to wide-body long-haul airliners. The design complies with current international and national requirements for the reliability and safety of passenger airfield systems.
