Preferential taxi fares for large families are being developed in Russia

The measures being prepared provide for the availability of transport with child seats

The Russian authorities intend to develop proposals for the introduction of preferential taxi fares for large families. This is stated in the plan approved by the government, which TASS has reviewed.

The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, together with regional authorities, should prepare measures to improve the availability and quality of taxi transportation for families with children, including large families. It is planned to develop preferential tariffs and ensure that transport companies have cars with child seats.

In addition, the department and regions should improve the quality of public transport for families with children, including the purchase of transport adapted for the transportation of parents with strollers. All tasks must be completed by 2030.

Also, by 2030, the share of public transport with a standard service life in agglomerations and cities should be at least 85%. A report on the work done must be sent to the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation.
